Hello, my name is Storm Taylor. I love travelling with my family, playing video games, I enjoy golf when I can hit the ball straight and I love lifting weights and drinking protein shakes! As far as credentials, I'm a former NASM CPT and I hold a bachelor/s degree majoring in Health and Human Performance. I have always been active, playing basketball and golf throughout high school. In college, I discovered my passion for lifting weights, which opened the door to both recreational powerlifting and bodybuilding, even though I’ve never competed in either. I also had the opportunity to work as a personal trainer at two big box gyms, but I quickly realized that this environment wasn’t where my true passion lay. My journey took a challenging turn back in 2019 when I was diagnosed with Thymoma, a type of cancer. Thankfully, it wasn’t life-threatening, and I underwent surgery to remove it, followed by radiation treatment. I’m grateful to say it hasn't returned. However, soon after my cancer diagnosis, I faced another battle in 2021: the onset of a neurological disease called Myasthenia Gravis. This condition affects my neuromuscular ability, making it difficult at times to move my facial muscles and even my fingers. On some days, it impacts my breathing. This has been the most significant struggle of my life, and I’m still working to find balance. I want to be transparent with my friends, family, and clients about my experiences. I’m not seeking pity; instead, I aim to show that everyone faces obstacles in life. The key is to find balance and keep pushing forward. Together, we can tackle life’s challenges head-on!
